Santa Rita La Chaparral Special Reserve
Category: IngredientsSanta Rita La Chaparral Special Reserve Is a coffee cultivated by Rigoberto Franco (locally known as DON RIGO) located in the village of Santa Rita in the micro region of Andes Antioquia, Colombia. His farm, and those of eight another neighbours make up this specialty highly scored coffee. These are “old Fashion Farms” where the coffee is handpicked, wet processed and sun dried in a “patio Quindiano” or concrete patio located in the roof of their houses. The village produces an approximate of 10,000; 70 kilo bags per year of mostly Caturra variety at a height of 1,600 to 2,100 M.A.S.L. From these 10,000; 70 kilo bags, L&D Coffee Traders reserve 500; 70 kilo bags of the best crops of each harvest at the height of 1600- 2100 M.A.S.L. This Micro Region is known for its volcanic soils coming from the Andes Mountains and its abundance of pure mountain spring water and fertile soil.
